Position Summary We’re currently looking for a Sr. Manager, Tax Business Transformation to join our team.

The position is responsible for developing and executing tax strategies for emerging business and business transformations encompassing design, implementation, training, monitoring, controls, risk assessment, documentation, and defense. To provide specialist advice and analysis in respect of global, regional, and local tax implications of business in support of emerging businesses and business transformations. This position is responsible for leading tax initiatives/projects in support of emerging business development and business transformations.

Responsibilities Service Delivery

Develop and recommend tax plans to reduce the Corporation’s overall tax burden and optimize cash flow; including opportunities to improve operating profit, increase cash efficiency and/or reduce effective tax rate, with an emphasis on emerging businesses.

Define and develop improvements to the Company’s control framework and reporting infrastructure to assure timely and accurate financial reporting of tax information, including providing advice to our affiliates.

Lead projects to deliver business and/or tax objectives related to emerging businesses and transformation initiatives; including, project management required from a tax perspective to ensure projects track to projected timelines, budgets, and roadblocks are removed.

Lead cross-functional workstream communication strategies/plans, ensuring stakeholders are aware of objectives, obligations, and interdependencies, including ensuring timely, effective required support / progress / status reporting to sponsors and stakeholders for new business and transformation initiatives.

Effectively influence business and functional stakeholders to ensure tax requirements are incorporated into emerging or transformational business operating plans an budgets.

Work with Internal Audit and Finance Leaders to develop and execute a program to review and test compliance with key Bridgestone policies and support development of remedial actions, as necessary.

Develop and execute strategies that consider risk assessment, training, and documentation to manage risk in emerging and/or transforming businesses.

Lead or support projects as required to deliver business and/or tax objectives as assigned.

Strategy Alignment and Business Partnerships

Develop, implement, and align effective, efficient tax strategies with business transformation near term goals and long-term strategy, as well as established tax strategies, policies, and risk tolerances.

Align strategies and objectives and maintain strategic relationships with the Global and Regional Businesses, Finance, Strategy, Legal, Treasury, Internal Audit, External Auditor, Consulting firms, and all other Tax COEs.

Develop Talent

Provide training to key stakeholders on key tax and transfer pricing principles relevant to key business transformation initiatives (e.g. West, BMS, etc.).

Provide mentoring, coaching, and timely feedback to teammates to strengthen their technical and professional skills.

Seek and take advantage of individual professional development opportunities and strive to achieve the highest degree of competency.

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years experience in a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm

Experience leading large tax projects

BA / BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar

CPA, CMI, CAE or international equivalent

MST or MBA a plus
