Key Responsibilities
Support monthly close, reporting, and variance analysis, including explanations versus forecast, prior year, etc.
Assist in the development and execution of budgets, rolling forecasts, and long‑range plans.
Track and analyze key areas of the P&L including sales, labor, margins, G&A expenses, and store‑level finances.
Play an active role in monthly and quarterly business reviews, preparing materials and insights for leadership.
Build, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and KPI reporting used by Finance and Operations leadership.
Write queries and leverage data tools to extract, validate, and analyze large datasets from multiple systems.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate operational questions into analytical frameworks and actionable insights.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through deep financial and operational analysis.
Business Partnership & Strategy
Perform ad hoc analysis and financial modeling to support key initiatives such as promotions, pricing, labor optimization, or new store development.
Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, HR, and other teams to support headcount planning, labor forecasting, and cost management.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate reporting, and enhance analytical efficiency.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
1–3 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or accounting; retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience strongly preferred.
Technical & Analytical Skills
Strong foundation in GAAP, financial statements, navigating ERP systems, & P&L analysis.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
Hands‑on experience with SQL or other data query languages.
Experience building dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
Ability to work with large datasets and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Ability to quickly create models to help drive strategic decision making.
Professional Skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to interpret results, understand business implications, and communicate insights clearly to non‑financial partners.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
