Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Finance Manager to lead financial operations and oversee accounting, controlling, and compliance activities in the U.S. subsidiary. This role combines strategic financial management with hands‑on execution, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and business analysis. The ideal candidate brings experience from a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firm or a comparable background in European accounting standards and has a deep understanding of both GAAP and HGB. The position will have 1 direct report and report directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a small finance and accounting team, setting clear goals and accountability.

Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.

Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and HGB.

Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.

Maintain and improve internal financial controls and ensure accuracy of data.

Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements; coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.

Partner with management to support business decisions through financial modeling, KPI tracking, and profitability analysis.

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting systems, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred, or equivalent European accounting qualification).

5–7 years of experience in accounting or financial management, ideally including experience with a CPA or public accounting firm.

Proven ability to lead a finance or accounting team.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and HGB accounting standards, corporate budgeting, and financial analysis.

Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational ability.

Excellent communication skills; able to convey financial information clearly to non‑financial audiences.
