Overview

Financial Analyst I, DHHS — Utah Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Finance & Administration (DFA). This role provides crucial financial management support within the Division of Finance & Administration to help sustain essential public programs and public health initiatives. To excel in this role, you should have a solid grasp of basic accounting, budgeting, and other essential financial functions. Responsibilities

Review fiscal operations to ensure integrity, accuracy, and control of data. Prepare and present financial reports using MS Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables. Ensure financial compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and department rules, policies, standards, and practices. Reconcile financial allocations and reports. Analyze, summarize, and review data, interpret results, and make recommendations. Research and review financial records, transactions, and documentation. Coordinate with division program staff to complete assigned duties. Manage accounting or budget activities and provide fiscal information. Qualifications and Desired Skills

Preference may be given to applicants with or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Additional Information
