Position Overview Gastro One is a leading healthcare provider specializing in gastroenterology services. We are seeking a PRN PreOp PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for procedures by conducting thorough assessments and obtaining medical histories.
Administer medications and provide preoperative education to patients and their families.
Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during the preoperative phase.
Assist with the transition of patients to the operating room.
Provide post‑anesthesia care in the PACU, including monitoring vital signs, pain management, and assessing patients' readiness for discharge.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a seamless patient care experience.
Document patient information accurately and maintain patient records.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Please note that occasional Saturdays are required.
Required Skills
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of TN.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Strong IV skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Commitment to patient‑centered care and safety.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
