We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a PRN basis in Orange Park, FL. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the preoperative and post-anesthesia care units, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes throughout the surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for surgery by conducting preoperative assessments and verifying patient information. Perform all PreOp CLIA testing and patient assessments Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition during the post-anesthesia recovery phase. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to established protocols. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Provide patient and family education regarding preoperative and postoperative care instructions. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Respond promptly to patient emergencies and changes in condition. Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients in both PreOp and PACU settings. Qualifications
Current and valid RN license in the state of Florida. Previous experience in PreOp and PACU nursing preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Work Schedule
