Mechanical Assembler 1 – 100% onsite – 720 Silver St, Agawam, MA
Pay: $18–$20/hr (W2).
Summary Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass‑produce products such as actuators, electronic case assemblies, and their subassemblies.
Show proficiency in some but not all products and processes after training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble parts following bills of materials, drawings, and written work instructions.
Perform visual inspection and/or testing on assembled components.
Bolts, clips, screws, or otherwise fasten parts together.
Operate hydraulic presses, electric or pneumatic screwdrivers, and other mechanical assembly aids.
Work at different workstations as production needs require.
Perform packing of finished product and assembly of product kits.
Work on different models of actuators and/or electronic assemblies.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Capable of performing every essential duty satisfactorily.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow instructions.
Comfortable using basic hand tools such as wrenches, hex keys, and screwdrivers.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience reading and following mechanical drawings to assemble products.
Language Skills
Must be able to read and understand English.
Mathematical Skills
Basic math skills required.
Physical Demands
Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
Frequently stand, walk, and sit.
Rarely lift up to 25 pounds.
Requires close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Alternate between sitting and standing as comfortable.
