Job Title: Electronics Calibration Technician
Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled electronics technician with a strong technical background to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing instruments and/or systems returned for service and repair, typically in areas such as service support and metrology. The position requires troubleshooting to the component level.
Responsibilities
Perform calibrations with various primary standards and measurement and test equipment (M&TE) per prescribed work instructions.
Prepare required documentation and maintain associated records.
Convey data and trends on product calibrations to the appropriate person or department to ensure customer satisfaction.
Escalate unusual product issues to the appropriate department.
Maintain all standards and M&TE.
In a service center setting, analyze, troubleshoot, make repairs, resolve technical problems, and perform maintenance services on measurement equipment or components returned to the service center by customers.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in troubleshooting electronics and electrical systems.
Experience with soldering, repair, calibration, and instrumentation.
Mechanically inclined and capable of understanding basic metrology concepts.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree in Science with a focus in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or another technical field is also acceptable.
Experience troubleshooting electronic test equipment is preferred.
6 months of experience using automated test systems.
Soldering experience is advantageous.
Understanding of ISO standards is preferred.
A good attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and succeed.
Work Environment This position is for the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
