Process Engineer

who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment? We’re looking for a

high‑energy team player

to join our Greer, SC Insulation team and help improve processes, enhance product quality, and drive continuous improvement across our plant.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and safety teams to make a real impact on plant performance.

Responsibilities

Manage/Supervise Quality Control Technicians and Chemical Mixers.

Oversee all laboratory operations and testing activities. Implement and maintain raw material and finished product specifications. Review, analyze, and interpret all sampling, testing, and physical property data.

Develop, implement, and maintain operating methods and procedures to eliminate operating issues and improve product quality and production efficiency. Coordinate and lead plant production trials, including control of process parameters and comprehensive data collection.

Research and implement process improvements through enhanced training, equipment modifications, and improved raw material utilization.

Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify root causes of nonconformities and operational issues.

Adjust product formulations to optimize production performance and ensure conformance to specification.

Coordinate and correspond with regulatory and code compliance bodies, including preparation for and participation in inspection. Report all quality control activities, issues, and performance metrics to the Corporate Technical Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field.

Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or quality control preferred.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety programs, and quality systems.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations, as well as write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Proven experience managing or supervising technical staff.

Exposure to people management or team leadership preferred.
