Experienced Executive Recruiter (Private Equity / Financial Services)

About the Role We are seeking an Experienced Executive Recruiter with 5+ years of recruiting experience and a proven track record executing senior‑level searches (VP, Principal, Director, Partner) in private equity, investment management, or financial services. You will own full‑lifecycle search execution, manage sophisticated clients and candidates, and contribute to the ongoing build‑out of Soul Equity’s brand, processes, and market relationships. This is a high‑visibility role with direct access to founders, the opportunity to lead retained searches end‑to‑end, and the autonomy to build meaningful relationships across the PE community.
Key Responsibilities Search Execution & Delivery
Lead full‑lifecycle execution for senior‑level searches (VP‑Partner) across private equity investment teams, Business Development, Investor Relations, and operations/value creation roles within private equity and related sectors
Develop and refine search strategies, target maps, and calibrated candidate profiles
Conduct sophisticated candidate assessments including experience deep‑dives, deal walkthroughs, behavioral evaluation, and cultural fit analysis
Manage all interview coordination, candidate preparation, and end‑to‑end process flow with precision and professionalism
Create detailed scorecards, firm prep sheets, and candidate summaries for client review
Client Relationship Management
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing market insights, expectation‑setting, compensation benchmarking, and strategic hiring recommendations
Lead recurring client update calls and deliver clear, data‑backed reporting on search progress and candidate pipeline health
Represent the firm with polish and confidence in all client interactions
Market Research & Sourcing
Build and maintain deep sector knowledge across private equity verticals, fund structures, transaction types, and operating models
Conduct proactive sourcing using database tools, LinkedIn Recruiter workflows, proprietary talent lists, and relationship‑driven outreach
Maintain and continually enhance candidate intelligence within the Soul Equity ATS
Candidate Relationship Management
Cultivate long‑term relationships with high‑performing investment professionals, operators, and PE leaders
Act as a career advisor, providing guidance on market trends, compensation, and career paths
Firm Building & Internal Contributions
Collaborate on process optimization, training materials, best practices, and new workflow creation
Contribute to marketing initiatives, events, networking efforts, and content development
Help mentor junior team members as the firm grows
Qualifications
5+ years of executive recruiting experience in private equity, alternative investments, financial services, or comparable high‑specialization search environments
Experience owning or significantly contributing to senior‑level searches (VP‑Partner)
Strong knowledge of private equity org structures, investment career paths, and deal workflows
Exceptional communication skills translating as confident, polished, credible with senior investment professionals
Ability to manage multiple high‑demand searches simultaneously with precision and organization
High EQ, professionalism, and a relationship‑first mindset
Comfort in a fast‑paced boutique environment where autonomy and accountability are critical
Strong command of LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, and research tools
