The ERP Business Process and Systems Specialist serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, supporting the design of efficient processes and the deployment of enabling ERP solutions. This role applies ERP expertise to evaluate business requirements, analyze operational data, and support system implementations through cross‑functional collaboration, training, and continuous improvement efforts. The specialist partners with peers and leadership to assess existing systems and ensure technology capabilities align with broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional teams to design, document, and standardize scalable processes across purchasing, manufacturing, inventory management, distribution, sales, and accounting.

Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, recommending ERP-based solutions aligned with platform best practices.

Develop and maintain process documentation, functional specifications, test scripts, and end-user training materials.

Configure, support, and maintain ERP modules and system integrations.

Translate business requirements into functional ERP specifications and collaborate with development resources on system enhancements or customizations.

Respond to user inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolution with internal teams or external ERP partners.

Follow established change management and system governance procedures.

Contribute to ERP initiatives including implementations, upgrades, system validations, optimizations, and automation efforts.

Lead or support functional testing activities, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), and deliver user training.

Monitor system adoption, performance metrics, and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.

Propose system and process enhancements based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback.

Act as a primary connection point between business functions and IT or development teams.

Support change management initiatives.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Accounting, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and at least five additional years of relevant professional experience.

Minimum of three years of hands‑on Sage X3 implementation experience.

Strong understanding of ERP‑supported business processes and data.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Sage X3 implementations and/or advanced system configuration.

Working knowledge of MSSQL, including basic querying, stored procedures, and job creation.

Experience using Power BI for reporting and analysis.

Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as ITGC, SOX, and FSMA.
