Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Prepares, stages, sets up, and performs startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) according to specific instructions, checklists, guides, standard protocols, and emails.

Performs post‑execution quality checks and verifies grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly per safety protocols and Network Design Tasks.

Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, identifies cause(s) of issues, and replaces faulty components.

Decommissions hardware for simple changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) with minimal guidance.

Follows procedures to communicate, report, and escalates incidents to appropriate Datacenter Technician Leads.

Monitors system for equipment failure or errors in performance.

Responds to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program.

Helps programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs.

Operates spreadsheet programs and other software to load and manipulate data and produce reports.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.

1+ year experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Flexibility to work non‑standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays.

Previous datacenter experience is a plus.
