Ideal Candidate

Those pursuing education in psychology, social services, early education, or behavior sciences, or who have experience as daycare, preschool workers, paraprofessionals, DSPs, nannies, babysitters, or anyone who loves to work with kids.

Application Process

Recruiters will reach out to schedule a 30‑minute virtual interview. After that, you will be invited to an onsite interview at your local Bierman center, meet staff and future coworkers, and shadow a current Behavior Technician to understand the role and duties.

Daily Adventures

Conduct 1:1 therapy with clients.

Follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans.

Collect and record data, and write therapy notes for each session.

Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding the client’s progress (with guidance from the BCBA).

Assist the BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials.

Maintain and acquire functional and technical knowledge by attending required trainings.

Follow the guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), if not one already.

Foster a positive working environment, maintaining good vibes.

Requirements Physical & Basic Functions

Must be able to lift and carry clients who are at least 30 lbs.

Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan.

Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending) for extended periods.

Must be able to walk and run to chase clients and maintain a three‑foot distance at all times.

Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods.

Must attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing.

Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection and session documentation.

Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication on computer, electronic devices, and paper.

Must be able to transfer written data to electronic files or database systems.

Must maintain prolonged periods working on a computer while sitting at a desk or on the floor.

Must assemble, clean, and maintain therapy space, including toys and furniture.

Must administer medication to clients.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Detail oriented.

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the team and clients.

Integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with children ages 2‑12 in a classroom, day care, 1:1 setting, or instructional childcare setting.

Experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; educational or allied health background.

Non‑Exempt, Full Time.

Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $17–$20.50 per hour, competitive and based on candidate qualifications and experience.
