Role Description
Compactor Rentals of America (CRA) is seeking an experienced and people-focused HR leader to partner with our executive team and drive HR strategies that support business growth and a strong, positive culture. This role oversees all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, and HR systems. As a trusted advisor, you will lead employee engagement, retention, training, and leadership development initiatives while leveraging HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making. You will also lead and develop the HR team, update and maintain HR policies and the employee handbook, and collaborate with senior leadership to achieve key people-related goals and KPIs in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
Partner with senior leadership to develop and lead HR strategies that align with business goals and foster a positive company culture
Manage all human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits, and compliance
Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, investigations, and legal compliance
Drive programs to enhance employee engagement, retention, training, and leadership development
Oversee HR metrics, reporting, and HRIS systems to support data-driven decision-making
Update and maintain HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook in line with legal standards and best practices
Lead, coach, and grow the HR team to provide high-impact support throughout the organization
Collaborate with the executive team to set and achieve HR-related goals and KPIs.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or commensurate experience (Master’s preferred)
3-5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong track record of leadership experience, employee relations, policy design, and strategic impact
Experience with Paylocity and Microsoft preferred
Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
High level of empathy and emotional intelligence, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Experience with HR systems and leveraging HR metrics
SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP, PHR / SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred
