Job Title: Surgery Scheduler
Location: San Antonio, TX 78216
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr. - $22.00/hr
Contract: 3+ Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: 8am – 5pm CST
Job Duties Schedule surgical procedures for physicians, ensuring accurate coordination of dates, times, and operating room availability. Communicate with surgeons, anaesthesiologists, nursing staff, and surgical departments to confirm schedules. Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and obtain prior authorizations for surgical procedures. Collect and review pre-operative documentation, including physician orders, consent forms, labs, imaging, and medical clearance. Educate patients on pre-op instructions, surgery dates, arrival times, fasting guidelines, and post-op appointments.
