Job Overview The Warehouse Associate acts as the receiving/warehouse agent, responsible for accurate inventory accounting, enforcement of internal controls, departmental policies, procedures, and Illinois Gaming Regulations. The role involves receiving items, delivering them to the appropriate departments, and recording all transactions. The Associate assists with inventory counts, maintains a clean and orderly warehouse, and supports internal auditing.

Duties and Responsibilities

Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments; compare documents to bills of lading, invoices, and orders.

Unpack and examine shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and coordinate with shipper, purchasing, and finance.

Operate tier‑lift trucks, forklifts, or hand trucks to move freight; may direct others on packing/unpacking.

Assign barcodes, item numbers, and date stickers to all merchandise received.

Process merchandise receipts, requisitions, and transfers in the computerized system.

Maintain documentation supporting shipping and receiving transactions.

Prepare fill orders for distribution and process requisitions and transfers.

Adhere to the warehouse standard operating procedure manual.

Monitor inventory levels to achieve optimal stock levels and ordering schedules.

Perform daily recaps and generate assigned reports.

Participate in daily, cycle, and month‑end inventory.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

High School diploma or GED required, or enrolled in a GED program to complete within 6 months from start date.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

One (1) year of related warehouse/receiving experience preferred.

Experience with computerized inventory/purchasing systems preferred.

Valid state‑issued operator driver’s license required.

Ability to operate manual and powered pallet jack, forklift, hand truck, cart, and electronic scale. Forklift certification must be completed within 60 days from hire date.

Willingness to work in an environment with moving mechanical parts, loud noise, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme temperature changes, and outdoor weather changes.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment while observing safety rules.

Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and carry out duties with moderate supervision.

Basic math skills: compute rate, ratio, and percent, and convert units.

Ability to stand for extended periods and climb ladders.

Must be able to lift and/or move parcels and packages weighing up to 50 lbs.

Willing to work odd and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.

Must hold an Occupational License (or ability to obtain and maintain) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board.

Base Pay

Pay range: $15.00 – $18.75 (base pay may vary with experience and skillset).
