Continental Disc Corporation, LLC ("CDC") designs and manufactures safety‐critical products that protect pressure‑containing vessels from catastrophic failure. Quality Control Inspector Ensures that rupture disc and rupture disc accessories meet documented guidelines outlined by manufacturing procedures, drawings, national standards, customer specifications and other applicable requirements. This is primarily done through receiving inspection, in‑process and final inspection, and the calibration of precision measuring devices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Following written company procedures and applicable outside certification standards, ensure all fabricated and machined products, holders and accessories meet drawing, work order and customer requirements
Perform receiving inspection of all purchased parts
Ensure parts in CNC area are produced properly through first part and in‑process inspection
Final inspect all product prior to packaging and shipment to end users
Route accepted parts and products to next processing stage
Document non‑conforming parts or products and route them to designated holding area
Calibrate and maintain inventory of measuring equipment, including pressure, control and computer gauges
Track and enter inspection data into computer
Develop non‑conformance charts and run weekly updates
Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED, associate’s degree in Industrial Technology or related field preferred
TECHNICAL / FUNCTION SPECIFIC
Ability to read blueprints
Intermediate math skills
Intermediate reading skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of applicable certification standards and codes
Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company ERP system, Microsoft Windows and Office

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sufficient manual dexterity to successfully use a computer
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per day, though possibly more
Frequently required to stand and/or walk, up to 2 hours per day, and make occasional trips from the office area to the manufacturing area
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as needed
Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment when in the manufacturing area, including, but not limited to, safety glasses and safety shoes
Vision Requirements: Acuity of 20/30 or better in either eye; Read the Jaeger No. 2 Eye Chart at 16 inches
