As an Endur Technology Engineer, you will work within bp’s Gas and Power Trading division on bp’s core trading and risk management platform, Endur. You will bring deep experience of commodity trading, Endur applications, and end‑to‑end market technology to support business initiatives and drive continuous improvement in our technology capabilities. Key Accountabilities
Advocate and lead safety and security culture, ensuring person‑and product‑safety and operational compliance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—Software Engineers, Designers, SecOps, Product Owners—to deliver high‑value solutions. Engage vendors and partners to optimise our technology platform usage and value generation. Maintain operational integrity, ensuring architectural and security standards are met and upheld. Define and maintain run‑books, operating procedures, system information, and architecture diagrams. Essential Education
University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in computer science, engineering, information systems, economics or a numerate field. Formal qualifications or certifications that confirm capability within a technical or professional field (e.g., PMI). Membership of a recognized technical or professional body. Essential Experience And Job Requirements
8+ years of hands‑on experience coding, implementing, and extending features in
Openlink Endur . Excellent C# programming and Oracle SQL skills. In‑depth experience with Endur’s C# OpenComponent API, Open JVS, UDSR’s, Report Builder, Operation Services and Services Manager (Grid Architecture). Comprehensive understanding of Endur architecture and key modules (APM, TPM, Connex, EOD workflows). Knowledge of Endur deployment, CMM import/export, and cloud DevOps. Experience in at least one front/mid/back office area. Collaboration with business analysts, testers, and business partners to refine requirements and design solutions. Experience in globally traded commodity markets, preferably physical commodities. Implementing test regimes to ensure solution quality. Experience working with hybrid in‑house and external delivery teams using Scrum. Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders up to executive level. Desirable Criteria
Experience across all trading floor and trade lifecycle areas (front/mid/back office). Background in European Gas and Power markets. Reviewing and elaborating interface specifications for systems connecting to Endur. Core Skills Expectations
