Clark Retirement is seeking compassionate, dedicated Med Techs and CNAs in our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing within Clark, a Life Plan Retirement Community. In this role, you will be assisting residents with their activities of daily living. In some clinical areas you may be trained to pass medications. We offer paid on the job training and a medication administration class to set you up for success in your role.
We are currently hiring on 2nd shift: 2pm to 10pm or 3pm to 11pm.
We also have limited part time availability on 3rd shift.
Med Tech starting pay is $18.25/hour with an increase to $20.25/hour once you have passed the medication administration class and training!
CNA starting pay is $21/hour. If you are a CNA and pass the medication administration class, there is an increase to $23/hour! Any hours worked in our Skilled Nursing unit are eligible to receive the additional $3.40/hour Direct Care Wage Pass‑Through.
Key Skills & Qualities
Knowledge of dementia preferred
Certified Nurse Aide in the State of Michigan, OR at least 1 year of experience passing medications in an assisted living setting
Desired traits: caring, responsible, respectful, empathetic, detail oriented
Ability to work well with a team
Familiar with Person Centered Care
Essential Job Functions
Distributes medication (in assisted living and memory care)
Provides treatments, personal care and assists with activities of daily living for elderly residents
Orders medications. Stores, distributes and documents all prescription and over the counter medication given to residents per protocols and as ordered by the physician
Communicates appropriate information to family members
Provides treatments, changes dressings, checks blood sugars, oxygen and vitals and other medical interventions according to physicians orders
Maintain all necessary documentation and charting in a timely and accurate manner
Assume the role of Care Partner (resident aide) as needed
Takes direction from Supervisor, asks for help when needed, supports team members
Reports changes in conditions or behaviors to nurses in a timely manner
