Our client — a multi-state and rapidly growing financial and insurance services provider — is seeking a highly motivated
Financial Reporting Accountant
to join their growing finance team. This opportunity is designed for strong trackers from either financial reporting, technical accounting, statutory reporting or public accounting to transition into contributing to building a scalable, future-forward finance function. You’ll work on improving financial reporting, processes, data integrity, and systems—while learning from experienced leadership in a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing accurate and GAAP-compliant financial statements and monthly reporting packages.
Support month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Help develop scalable processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain data accuracy and ensure financial integrity.
Contribute to ongoing audit preparation and financial systems improvements.
Participate in ad hoc analysis and special projects aligned with the company’s growth.
What We’re Looking For:
2-6 years of experience in public accounting, or a public/private mix. Experience in financial services or a publicly traded environment also of strong consideration!
Active CPA license or current CPA candidacy with intent to complete certification this year.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting best practices.
Tech-savvy mindset with an eagerness to improve processes and implement systems.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
A collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach.
