Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr
A well-established and growing consumer-focused company is seeking a
Senior Accountant
to play a key role in financial reporting, close processes, and balance sheet ownership. This is a hands‑on position ideal for a detail‑oriented, analytical accountant who enjoys digging into the numbers, improving processes, and partnering cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll Do
Assist with and lead components of the monthly and year‑end close, including journal entries and supporting schedules
Own balance sheet reconciliations (cash, inventory, sales tax, intercompany, fixed assets, leases, etc.)
Prepare and analyze inventory and cost of goods sold reconciliations
Maintain accuracy of the fixed asset subledger and lease accounting in compliance with applicable accounting standards
Support external accountants during audit and year‑end close
Prepare insightful monthly balance sheet commentary for leadership
Manage sales tax compliance across multiple states and support international VAT reporting
Support cash management activities including wires, ACH, FX payments, and reconciliations
Maintain and analyze large data sets using Excel and ERP systems
Proactively identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations
Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
Experience with ERP systems; retail, wholesale, or e‑commerce exposure is a plus
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Self‑starter with excellent attention to detail and a problem‑solving orientation
