$115,000 – $145,000/year + bonus

Schedule:

Monday to Friday (In‑Office)

Join our client in New York, NY as an HR Generalist (Payroll & Benefits), managing payroll administration, benefits programs, employee onboarding, and HR compliance. In this role, you will collaborate with HR leadership and employees across multiple locations, gaining hands‑on experience in payroll, benefits, immigration, and employee relations while supporting process improvements and strengthening company culture.

Responsibilities

Manage biweekly payroll processing and oversee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, renewals, and employee inquiries.

Coordinate immigration and visa processes with external counsel, track expiration dates, and manage timely renewals.

Lead onboarding, background checks, documentation, and orientation, and support terminations in compliance with policies and regulations.

Serve as the primary contact for HR inquiries and partner with leadership on employee relations and policy matters.

Support performance reviews, compensation cycles, compliance training, and contribute to HR reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

Experience: 4–8 years of human resources experience required, preferably in financial services.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS systems and payroll/benefits platforms.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR practices across payroll, benefits, and immigration.

Skills & Attributes: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
