Purpose of the Position To protect the assets of the company while supporting sales. Key responsibilities include performing detailed credit reviews, risk analysis, monitoring credit limits, and providing risk‑mitigating solutions for a portfolio of accounts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manage commercial credit risk for an assigned portfolio of accounts.

Perform detailed reviews and risk analysis to assess credit risk and adjust limits.

Schedule and conduct credit reviews for the assigned portfolio.

Use risk assessment tools and third‑party data to analyze new account requests.

Obtain necessary information, assign risk category, perform financial review, and submit for credit line activation in SAP.

Analyze reports, scorecard data, financial statements, bank/trade references, and payment history to support sales while protecting assets.

Recommend credit lines or alternative hedging options for unqualified accounts; facilitate implementation with team leads.

Handle non‑routine credit inquiries and correspondence.

Escalate complex cases to team leads for policy interpretation.

Monitor monthly credit lines to ensure balances remain within limits.

Assist team leads or senior analysts with risk assessment for specific divisions and provide credit process assistance.

Represent the company at creditor meetings, trade shows, and related events.

Prepare and submit departmental reports (Quarterly, Monthly, Weekly, Watch List, Z‑Credit AR Forecast, etc.).

Participate in customer visits to obtain financials and assess account status.

Performance Standards

Maintain bad debt loss ratio ≤ 0.009.

Review all assigned accounts on schedule (≥1M twice per year;

Timely preparation and submission of departmental reports.

Maintain appropriate credit lines and hedging limits within SAP.

Effective communication with sales, stakeholders, and key account contacts.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.

Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Understanding of business and market trends affecting accounts.

Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret written and verbal information.

3-5 years commercial credit experience with complex financial statement analysis, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.

Understanding of risk/reward analysis and credit mitigation documents.

Familiarity with SAP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Reports to Senior Credit Analysts.

Credit reviews, risk assessment, financial review.

5+ years of experience.

Work Type & Location This is a contract position based out of Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
