What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Manage a portfolio of privacy-related inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely and appropriate handling
Conduct thorough investigations related to patient privacy matters, including interviews and audits
Assist patients in exercising their privacy rights and prepare formal correspondence as needed
Collaborate with hospital departments to ensure compliance with privacy regulations and corrective action plans
Develop and implement educational materials and training sessions for staff on privacy issues
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum of four (4) years of related work experience in privacy regulations and compliance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with applicable laws
Knowledge of federal and state compliance program requirements related to patient privacy
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in investigating privacy-related complaints and concerns
Familiarity with electronic medical records and privacy regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
Experience in developing and presenting educational materials
