Summary of the Job The Analyst II, Finance is responsible for accounting, performing financial reporting, and completing analysis of assigned business units. The role partners with business unit managers and the finance team to prepare and review operating budgets, forecasts, monthly financials, and performance analysis. This position is part of the Business Segment Finance team and will work closely with business line managers, being actively involved in day‑to‑day finance activities and ad‑hoc analysis projects focused on driving profitability and actionable data.
About This Role The successful candidate is a self‑starter who can design, plan, and execute on preparing reports ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable financial reporting. Additional responsibilities and accountabilities include:
Develop and maintain competency within the bank’s financial systems to facilitate segment and business unit specific reporting and analysis
Demonstrate proven track record in retrieving data from multiple sources and effectively utilizing and analyzing this data, displaying it in a meaningful way to management
Develop, prepare, and improve financial reporting to assist ongoing management and evaluation of the business
Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly reporting, supporting processes and variance analysis
Perform processes and reporting that include vendor payments, T&E processing, GL account reconciliation, and journal entries
Work with business unit managers for analysis of business products, preparation of forecasts and budgets
Demonstrate adaptability in adjusting analysis, reporting, and forecasting to accommodate changing business dynamics/products
Work with cross‑functional teams to complete tasks and improve efficiencies
Continuously identify opportunities for increased efficiency and accuracy
Identify other areas to leverage information
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, or equivalent experience
1–3 years of financial analyst experience
1–3 years budget/forecasting experience
Ability to work in large and medium sized project teams, as a self‑directed contributor with a proven track record of being detail‑oriented, innovative, creative, and strategic
Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships; maintain regular and predictable attendance in alignment with departmental/divisional policy
Compliance: understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank’s BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe required
Desired
Analytical experience and/or aptitude
Ability to work with large amounts of data highly desired
Interest in financial services and commercial banking
Experience with PowerBI, Business Objects, Access, or other reporting tools
Key Skills
Complex Excel models/calculations and Excel add‑ins
Budgeting/Forecasting
Strong aptitude for accounting and financial statement analysis
Independent research and problem‑solving skills
Detail oriented with good organizational skills
Strong verbal and oral communication skills
Ability to collaborate across departments
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
Compensation Base pay: $62,047.00 – $102,377.00. Final compensation offer may vary based on experience, education, and/or skill level.
Work Environment Hybrid: in‑person collaboration 3 days a week, remote flexibility 2 days a week. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
