This range is provided by Abacus Group, LLC. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for multiple entity types, including S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals, with attention to industry-specific considerations such as job costing and international tax matters Deliver proactive tax planning and strategic recommendations to minimize tax liabilities and enhance client profitability, including guidance on corporate initiatives and evolving tax legislation Manage day-to-day client relationships as a primary point of contact, including collecting financial information and addressing tax-related inquiries Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by researching complex issues, leveraging tax software, and staying current on tax law and industry developments Support clients in resolving tax authority inquiries, including audit management and responses to IRS and state agency notices Collaborate with bookkeeping and accounting teams to support accurate tax preparation and address general accounting and financial statement matters, including industry-specific practices such as job costing Guide and review the work of staff-level accountants, providing mentorship and supporting professional development for junior team members Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of relevant tax experience Public or combo experience Knowledge of US federal and state tax regulations Proficient with tax preparation and research software Strong analytical and organizational skills CPA preferred Seniority level
