Position Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable
Bookkeeper
to manage day‑to‑day financial transactions and support accurate financial reporting. This role is responsible for maintaining organized financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a deadline‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Record and maintain daily financial transactions
Manage
accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
Process invoices, expenses, and payments accurately and timely
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Assist with month‑end and year‑end close
Prepare basic financial reports (e.g., P&L, balance sheet)
Support payroll coordination and expense tracking as needed
Assist with audits and provide documentation when requested
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices
Required Qualifications
2+ years of bookkeeping experience
Strong understanding of general accounting principles
Experience with accounting software such as:
QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
Sage (100, Intacct, or similar)
Xero or comparable systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Experience working in a small to mid‑sized business environment
Exposure to payroll processing
Industry experience (construction, professional services, nonprofit, etc.)
Performance Expectations
Accurate, timely entry of financial transactions
Clean and timely reconciliations
Well‑organized financial records
Prompt resolution of discrepancies
Consistent communication with internal stakeholders
