Senior Accountant, Commercial Property Portfolio – West Palm Beach, FL – $90,000–$110,000 Base + 10% Bonus
About the Role Join a leading real estate development and operating platform based in West Palm Beach that is actively transforming urban life across Palm Beach County. This Senior Accountant role sits within the Commercial Accounting group and supports a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including retail, office, condominium associations, restaurants, and hospitality assets. This position offers strong visibility, collaboration with senior leadership, and a 4 days/week in-office schedule.
Responsibilities
Support daily accounting operations across a commercial property portfolio
Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including monthly and YTD budget vs. actual variance analysis
Assist with cash management, bank reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end work paper packages and support annual audits
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Lease Administration, Treasury, and IT on reporting and special projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
3+ years of public accounting experience with real estate clients or strong commercial property accounting experience
CPA preferred; public accounting background strongly desired
Solid knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Advanced Excel skills; JD Edwards (JDE) experience a plus
