Purpose The Analyst - Program and Data Monitoring helps administer programs and complete assignments in the Policy and Planning Bureau of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. The Analyst assists with responsibilities related to the Rural Health Transformation Program. The Analyst will oversee implementation, monitor program outcomes, and manage data tracking and reporting. The Analyst will ensure that program activities remain aligned with federal grant requirements and provide internal oversight and ensure timely adjustments based on performance data.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support the work of the Rural Health Transformation Program.
Manage the daily operations of the Rural Health Transformation Program.
Track and report data across approximately 24 programs/sub-initiatives.
Develop and maintain systems for tracking program activities, milestones and performance measures.
Collect, validate and analyze program data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Work with internal and external partners to resolve implementation challenges and support progress towards goals.
Develop and recommend alternative strategies to address and resolve a variety of programmatic issues.
Coordinate with partners to support data tracking and compliance.
Draft correspondence and develop presentations.
Prepare various formal reports and/or briefings.
Present information to internal and external groups.
Always represent the best interests of MDHHS and MPHI.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience:
At least 2-3 years of project management experience.
Important Skills and Characteristics
Ability to analyze, synthesize and evaluate a variety of data for use in program development and analysis.
Ability to organize, evaluate and present information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to learn and utilize computer processes.
Ability to work well with others on a team, work independently, and multi-task within tight deadlines.
Knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint; Adobe Acrobat.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements Position requires the use of a laptop. This position is occasionally required to transport a laptop, audiovisual equipment and brochures. This position may require some very limited travel.
