Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a talented Junior Configuration Management Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos Defense Systems provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
Primary Responsibilities Configuration Analyst responsibilities include product design changes and managing the effects of overall system. Duties include ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations for data created from internal projects or supplied by customer. The analyst will work independently on moderately complex projects/assignments, act as a Data Manager, provide project support in reviewing contents and delivery of CDRL’s, SDRL’s, item records, change records and other items in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. They will assist CM team members in producing documentation such as CSA reports, audit reports, and creating data pull outputs. They will support tasks in a dynamic environment, working closely with CM, engineering, manufacturing, quality and other teams throughout the product lifecycle. The position requires on‑site work 4+ days a week.
Basic Qualifications
4‑year degree in a relevant field and 2‑4 years of prior relevant experience; or, in lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of experience.
Resident of North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville – North Alabama, AL.
Working knowledge and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques of technical domain.
Experience in configuration change management principles and record types.
Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (Agile PLM, Oracle Agile, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, Siemens Teamcenter, Aras, etc.).
Knowledge of bill of materials, technical documents, product drawings, schematics, diagrams and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Visio experience a plus.
Proficient in Adobe PDF editing software or equivalent.
Capable of working collaboratively in an engineering environment with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint collaboration software.
Basic knowledge of CAD software such as CREO, Solidworks, etc.
Basic knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as Windchill, Solidworks PDM Pro, etc.
Pay Range $59,150.00 – $106,925.00
