Leidos is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Specialist to develop and support production processes, create clear work instructions, and ensure efficient manufacturing operations. The role focuses on driving production excellence, quality, and efficiency within the Defense Systems sector.
Primary Responsibilities
Under the guidance of manufacturing engineers, create and maintain detailed work instructions for production processes.
Support production line operations and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
Assist in the implementation and support of MES systems, PLM systems (e.g., Windchill), and CAD tools.
Basic Qualifications
HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years of relevant experience.
4 years’ experience supporting Electro‑Mechanical Assembly and operations with a minimum of 1 year of assembly instruction writing.
Proficiency in writing clear and concise work instructions.
Experience using Factory Logix (Aegis) to generate PCBA process plans.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Willingness to be hands‑on and support production floor activities.
Resident of Northern Alabama or willing to relocate.
Ability to obtain and maintain a final secret security clearance if required.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in process development and production support.
Experience with Solumina, Aegis, Windchill, MES systems, and SolidWorks or other CAD software.
Familiarity with aerospace, defense, or other high‑reliability manufacturing industries.
Demonstrated ability to work in fast‑paced environments and lead process improvement initiatives.
Pay Range Pay Range: $59,150.00 – $106,925.00
