CAE Analyst II – NVH & Durability
Location: Livonia, MI
Pay Rate: $46.33/hour
Job Overview The CAE Analyst II (NVH / Durability) performs structural finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate strength, fatigue, vibration, and durability of components and systems across automotive, aerospace, entertainment, and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
Build structural, NVH, and durability FEA models using Nastran, Abaqus, OptiStruct, or ANSYS
Run linear, non-linear, and dynamic simulations
Post-process results and recommend design improvements
Validate analysis results using hand calculations and free-body diagrams
Develop and present technical reports to customers
Create Python scripts for automation and efficiency
Support multiple concurrent projects with minimal guidance
Collaborate with cross-functional CAE teams to improve predictive accuracy
Support new tools, methods, and technology development
Required Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Coursework in FEA, strength of materials, NVH, and mechanical behavior
1–3 years of structural FEA experience
Experience with ANSA, HyperMesh, or similar pre-processors
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Experience with fatigue tools (nCode, durability workflows)
Python, VBA, or C automation experience
ITAR‑compliant work authorization
Experience with full vehicle structural or NVH models
Correlation with physical test data
