Price Industries Inc. is searching for a Paint Line Production Supervisor to manage the production activities within the department, oversee scheduling, delivery performance, resource planning, quality and safety improvement at its Suwanee, GA manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
Improve the efficiency and utilization of the production department.
Maintain product quality and effectively resolve quality issues.
Identify problem root causes and implement corrective and preventive measures to prevent repetition.
Utilize functional support departments to resolve quality issues.
Identify and resolve safety concerns.
Ensure work instructions, procedures and policies are followed.
Motivate department members through involvement, communication and positive reinforcement.
Provide employees with performance evaluations and feedback.
Monitor attendance and take disciplinary action as necessary.
Handle grievances and conflicts calmly and professionally.
Plan manpower and staff operators, lead‑hands, and master crafters.
Ensure effective training and cross‑training.
Mentor and develop lead‑hands for hourly manufacturing operations management.
Drive continuous improvement to achieve better quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
Lead the 5S initiative.
Apply Lean manufacturing techniques.
Ensure daily shop cleanup and preventive maintenance tasks are completed.
Qualifications
Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and under pressure.
Experience supervising powder coat paint in a manufacturing environment.
Strong problem‑solving skills, data collection, and fact‑based conclusions.
Exceptional leadership skills with urgency and strong aptitude.
Create accountability and lead by example.
Make sound, timely decisions.
Develop, maintain and motivate a strong team.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to solve practical problems and difficult situations.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Education / Relevant Experience / Skills
College degree or high school diploma with 5 years of experience.
3–5 years supervisory experience with a proven track record in a high-volume, multi‑product environment – preferably in sheet metal and HVAC.
Experience implementing Lean manufacturing.
Comfortable in a team‑oriented environment.
Proficient in MS Office.
Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
Work Environment
Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, extreme heat, extreme cold, and dust; noise level moderate to loud.
