CLINICAL OUTREACH & ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Reasons Eating Disorder Center (Reasons) is seeking a professional with prior experience working with eating disorders, trauma, substance use and LGBTQIA+ communities to provide compassionate care to our diverse patients in residential treatment facilities located in Pasadena and Arcadia, Los Angeles County.
Responsibilities The Clinical Outreach & Alumni Engagement Specialist is a fast‑paced, results‑oriented role responsible for expanding Reasons EDC’s referral network while leading impactful, data‑informed alumni engagement initiatives. The position focuses on high‑volume clinical outreach, strategic territory planning, and relationship development with professionals and community stakeholders across assigned markets.
A core component of this role is the intentional development of our eating disorder referral network, including the alumni community. The Specialist oversees the full alumni engagement lifecycle, including ongoing communication, wellness checks, outcome tracking, resource sharing, social media group stewardship, and coordination of quarterly alumni events.
As a key member of the Business Development team, the Specialist collaborates closely with the Admissions Team to integrate outreach activity, alumni insights, and performance data into quarterly B2B and B2C initiatives that increase visibility, deepen community relationships, and support consistent referral flow.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a behavioral health care business development/marketing environment with measurable results. Knowledge of psychiatric, eating disorder and chemical dependency treatment principles preferred. Minimum of 1 year working with treatment center alumni or patients preferred.
Additional: Must maintain a valid driver license or state ID within 90 days of employment.
Key Responsibilities Include
Implement philosophy, policies, procedures, systems, and strategic goals set by senior leadership and ensure alignment across outreach activities.
Maximize eating disorder referrals by developing new business, strengthening existing relationships, and strategically re‑engaging past or lapsed accounts.
Deliver exceptional customer service to referral partners, prospective families, and community stakeholders.
Develop, sustain, and grow a robust referral network by identifying high‑value accounts, generating new business, and strengthening relationships across all segments.
Meet or exceed weekly outreach KPIs by completing a designated number of qualified business development contacts.
Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all outreach interactions within the CRM/referral database.
Conduct regular in‑person and virtual visits, phone calls, and written follow‑ups to primary accounts.
Monitor referral activity and admissions generated from referral partners, conducting timely thank‑you outreach and ensuring source satisfaction and retention.
