Position Summary The Clinical Outreach & Alumni Engagement Specialist plays a critical role in expanding Reasons’ referral network, strengthening relationships with clinical partners and community stakeholders, and fostering ongoing alumni engagement that supports recovery and long-term success. This is a highly strategic role that blends relationship-building, data analysis, creative outreach, project coordination, and community engagement. The Specialist will design and implement outreach strategies, represent Reasons at key community venues and professional gatherings, and leverage insights to help shape business development efforts.

This position is

remote-based

but requires regular presence across Los Angeles County, Pasadena, Arcadia, Rosemead, and surrounding markets. Candidates must

reside in the Los Angeles metro area

and have reliable transportation. Extensive travel for outreach events, partner meetings, community presentations, and alumni gatherings is a core part of the work.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Outreach & Network Expansion

Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to increase referrals from clinical partners, insurance providers, schools, therapists, medical professionals, and other stakeholders.

Identify and prioritize key referral sources and community groups that align with Reasons’ mission and growth objectives.

Build and sustain strong professional relationships through frequent engagement, detailed follow‑up, and outcome‑oriented communication.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform outreach approaches and adjust strategy based on trends and emerging needs.

Alumni Engagement & Lifecycle Management

Lead the full cycle of alumni engagement, including initial outreach upon discharge, regular check‑ins, wellness tracking, resource sharing, and ongoing communication.

Develop and implement a comprehensive alumni communication plan leveraging email campaigns, newsletters, social media groups, and virtual events.

Coordinate quarterly alumni events (virtual and in‑person) to foster community, support recovery, and reinforce Reasons’ continued support for alumni success.

Track alumni outcomes and engagement metrics, documenting feedback and insights to contribute to program improvements and reporting.

Community Representation & Events

Represent Reasons Eating Disorder Center at community events, conferences, healthcare symposia, and professional meetings.

Create compelling materials (presentations, brochures, digital content) that clearly articulate Reasons’ continuum of care and unique value propositions.

Collaborate with the marketing team to amplify outreach initiatives and maintain consistent external messaging aligned with brand standards.

Internal Collaboration

Partner closely with Admissions, Clinical Services, Marketing, and Leadership teams to align outreach and alumni efforts with overall organizational goals.

Share referral insights, outreach outcomes, and alumni trends in internal meetings to support coordinated growth initiatives.

Support cross‑departmental projects, data collection, and performance evaluation.

Reporting & Performance Metrics

Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, referral sources, alumni engagement metrics, and event outcomes.

Produce monthly and quarterly reports that detail progress toward goals, challenges encountered, and recommended next steps.

Use data to refine outreach tactics, improve alumni programming, and contribute to broader strategic planning.

Proficiency with CRM tools, email campaign platforms, virtual meeting software, and common office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).

Competence with social media platforms for professional and alumni engagement purposes.

Qualifications Minimum

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration, or related field is required; Master’s Degree is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in behavioral health care business development/marketing environment with measurable business development results. Knowledge of psychiatric, eating disorders and chemical dependency treatment principles is preferred. Minimum of one (1) year experience working with treatment center alumni or patients is preferred.

Additional Requirements: Must maintain a valid driver license or ID in applicable state within 90 days of employment.

Preferred

Experience working in eating disorders, behavioral health, trauma‑informed care environments, or related clinical settings.

Knowledge of mental health treatment referral pathways and provider networks.

Familiarity with Los Angeles healthcare ecosystem and community organizations.

Reliable transportation and flexibility to attend in‑person meetings, outreach events, and alumni functions are essential.

Work may occasionally extend beyond traditional business hours to attend evening events or weekend activities.

Annual base salary range: $83,200 – $104,000, commensurate with experience.
