Essential Job Functions
Maintain and develop project budgets, schedules, work plans, resource requirements, and cost estimates and projections (30%).
Develop project plans, including strategy definition, forecast allocation, timelines and milestones, and contingency planning (25%).
Plan and manage efficient project meetings, oversee distribution of project information and status reports (25%).
Review proposed changes to project parameters and to the original project plan and budget (10%).
Establish strategies and methodologies for identifying, assessing, reporting, managing and mitigating risks for initiatives (10%).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of project management theories and practices for limited‑scope projects; evaluation of third‑party vendors; understanding of local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Skill in project management monitoring and use of computer software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and ability to draft executive‑level briefing documents.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, analyze complex information, develop plans, demonstrate negotiation and facilitation skills, identify risks, prepare reports and charts, communicate effectively, assign duties and coordinate project staff.
Initial Screening Criteria
Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration, finance or another related field.
Three years’ experience with project management.
Three years’ experience with managing federal grants and programs.
Three years’ experience with grant implementation and program monitoring.
Three years’ experience with health and human services programs and procurement processes.
Additional Information The Provider Finance Department operates on a hybrid telework schedule. Staff are required to work in the office two days per week. The office is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
