Job Summary Join a dynamic team as an Inventory Analyst, where your data‑driven insights will directly impact supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction. In this role, you’ll take ownership of logistics and purchasing support tasks, optimizing inventory levels and reducing costs with minimal supervision. Collaborate across departments while enjoying the autonomy to drive meaningful improvements. What You Will Do
Reconcile inventory discrepancies including on‑hand overages/shortages, supplier variances, operational returns, receipt issues, and shipment errors; accurately post receipts for all inbound materials.
Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with cross‑functional teams and team members.
Plan supplier material deliveries, track supplier information including replenishment schedules, and monitor packaging quantities and usage.
Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
Analyze root causes of inventory issues and develop effective solutions.
Prepare inventory reports and determine quantity and order dates for kanban materials to meet the master production schedule.
Initiate purchase or production requisitions as appropriate.
Analyze historical inventory movements to determine appropriate corrective actions.
Safely operate material handling equipment to support inventory processes.
Execute scheduled and ad‑hoc audits of inventory and receipts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Monitor, track, and report quality performance metrics; maintain accountability for achieving defined quality objectives.
Work independently while promoting a cooperative team dynamic in support of facility operations and client inventory requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
What You Will Have
Minimum of 2 years’ shipping & receiving experience and/or cycle counting
Previous experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
Experience managing invoice grief
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Prior experience working with cross‑functional teams
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to perform tasks independently with minimal supervision
What Will Put You Ahead
Former experience with SOP Documentation
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Forklift Certification
Demonstrated use of 5S principles and organization
Experience with vendor management inventory
Physical Requirements
The ability to occasionally lift parts up to 35 lbs. individually or up to 70 lbs. with a team lift
The ability to bend, reach, and squat while performing tasks
The ability to wear required personal protective equipment for assigned tasks
The ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
The ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods while performing tasks

1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Summary Pay Range $25.25 - $32.80
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
