Senior Front Desk Registration Associate – Medical Imaging Team - Albany, NY - Full Time The Senior Registration Associate is responsible for performing and overall coordination of clerical duties related to the efficient and service‑oriented operation of the breast imaging center at 317 S. Manning Blvd., Albany.

Responsibilities

Perform and coordinate front‑end functions to achieve revenue cycle metrics, including scheduling and registration, check‑in, check‑out, charge entry/claims, and end‑of‑day processes.

Ensure distribution of work throughout the team meets daily schedules.

Display leadership qualities and manage daily staffing needs with office and float pool managers.

Serve as a mentor and role model to all colleagues.

Schedule patient appointments to maximize patient access.

Handle all incoming calls and direct appropriately.

Register patients, obtain necessary consent forms and demographic data.

Collect co‑pay at check‑in or checkout when applicable, document monies collected, and generate receipts.

Act as liaison between patients and clinical staff; monitor for delays and inform patients.

Schedule all follow‑up appointments at check‑out, including ancillary and/or diagnostic tests.

Obtain pre‑authorizations for diagnostic testing and referrals for specialist office visits as assigned.

Pass charges accurately in accordance with office policies and procedures.

Process information by accurately parsing data into the electronic medical record.

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Work cooperatively with all team members to ensure quality patient care at all times.

Communicate respectfully and effectively with providers, clinical staff, colleagues, managers, and others.

Cross‑cover other areas as needed.

What You Will Need

Strong leadership skills.

Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.

Demonstrated experience delivering outstanding customer service.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.

Experience managing difficult customers respectfully and without confrontation.

Previous medical office experience preferred.

Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Pay Range $18.50 – $23.90 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. On‑site duties include the required hourly pay. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
