Earned Value Analyst

Highly motivated and detail-oriented Earned Value Management (EVM) Analyst to support our project management team in ensuring effective implementation and monitoring within an Earned Value (EV) Deltek Cobra system. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, Control Account Managers (CAMs), financial analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with EVMS requirements and drive project success.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve EVMS processes and tools to track project scope, schedule, and cost performance.
Analyze project data to calculate and interpret EVMS metrics, including Planned Value (PV), Earned Value (EV), and Actual Cost (AC).
Monitor project performance using metrics such as Cost Variance (CV), Schedule Variance (SV), Cost Performance Index (CPI), and Schedule Performance Index (SPI).
Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
Conduct variance analysis and identify risks to schedule, cost, and performance baselines.
Collaborate with project teams to develop corrective actions and recovery plans as needed.
Generate IPMDAR and other EVMS reports.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI/EIA-748) and contractual EVMS requirements.
Provide training and guidance on EVMS processes and best practices to project teams.
Participate in audits and reviews to verify adherence to EVMS guidelines.
Support the Program Controls Manager in developing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS), and Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience working with Earned Value Management Systems or project controls.
Proficiency in EVMS tools (e.g., Deltek Cobra, Microsoft Project, forProject).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data to stakeholders.
Knowledge of EVMS standards, such as ANSI/EIA-748.
Must be a US citizen.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working in industries such as defense, aerospace, construction, or IT.
Familiarity with government contracting and compliance requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS).
