Funeral Director & Embalmer

Job Type: Full-time

Impact You Will Make
Meet with clients to make funeral arrangements, explain service options, assist in casket selection, provide pricing information, and prepare standardized contracts.
Perform technical and cosmological embalming services.
Finalize details from arrangement conferences with appropriate tracking & compliance documents.
Direct funeral services and visitation, greet families, open parlor, coordinate and instruct pallbearers, escort clergy to chapel, and assist as needed.
Prepare or coordinate permits and documents (death certificate, coroner permits, embalming case studies).
Remove and transport deceased from home or hospital to funeral home.
Maintain cleanliness of preparation room and equipment.
Perform all other related functions as assigned.

Requirements
1 year as a licensed funeral director and 2 years of post‑secondary education.
Must be a licensed funeral director and embalmer or be able to obtain the required state license.
Graduated from an accredited school of embalming or mortuary science.
Strong concentration and attention to detail over prolonged periods.
Able to stand, walk, lift, and push as necessary.
Valid state driver’s license.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Availability to work holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
