In the role of Water/Wastewater Engineer, we'll count on you to:
Plan, direct and monitor technical aspects of water pump stations and pipeline design projects, sewer collection system design, and wastewater treatment plant design.
Work in a Team Environment to accomplish complex tasks and project deliverables
Take responsibility for performing complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
Be involved with client relationships with specific focus on relaying HDR’s water and wastewater credentials
Function as technical specialist, deputy project manager and/or project manager on mid-size projects as needed
Ability to supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as needed
Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures and for the execution of training for personnel as established
Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
Assist in permitting efforts associated with design projects
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Civil 3D CAD and/or BIM experience
A minimum of 3 years experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
Previous experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license)
Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
