Specialized Trades Worker - AVCRAD

Job Description A position in the Missouri National Guard Facilities Division is more than a job, it is a calling. Our maintenance personnel support soldiers that protect and aid Missourians citizens. This role performs a variety of maintenance tasks independently while subject to inspection by a designated superior.
Responsibilities
Assignments are received orally or by written orders and may be accompanied by sketches, penciled layouts, or blueprints.
Install or renovate complete plumbing, electrical, and heating and cooling systems in buildings.
Paint buildings and other structures using sprayers, brushes or rollers; apply wallpaper, fabrics, ceramic tile and other interior finishes.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and monitoring activities on equipment such as air handlers, refrigeration and air conditioning units, high and low pressure steam systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems; record meter and gauge readings; clean coils and oil motors; and replace belts, filters, switches, gauges, and motors.
Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC systems, including recovery and charging of R22, R410 and R404 systems, brazing of copper tubing, installation of mini‑split systems, furnaces and condensing units, rooftop HVAC units up to 150 ton, chiller systems, boiler systems, large air handlers, CNC computer‑controlled systems, and building ventilation systems. Preventative maintenance includes filter changes and cleaning of condensing units. Repair refrigerators, freezers and ice machines.
Perform finish carpentry such as installation of millwork; complete detailed carpentry work in constructing boardwalks, stairs and platforms.
Repair utilities and building equipment, perform urgent and routine service calls to include all phases of electrical repair, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, carpentry, concrete and other general repairs.
Plan work sequence, determine materials needed for each project assignment, and ensure that the necessary tools and equipment are secured and loaded. Assist in establishing project schedules and coordinate ordering and delivery of materials and supplies.
Minimum Qualifications
Four or more years of experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair.
Valid State driver’s license.
Ability to pass a background check.
