Overview
The Psychological Sciences Department is seeking a Full-Time Research Assistant to help with research for Dr. Maria Diehl. The lab research assistant will help with experimental projects; assist with ordering supplies, maintaining updated inventory and lab records, and shares duties with other lab members to handle and care for research animals, run behavioral experiments, collect data, and maintain an organized research lab. The research assistant will also assist with tissue processing, performing tissue assays, and taking microscope pictures.

Our teaching faculty focus on excellent teaching (four courses per semester) but also have opportunities for research and service activities. What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree. Education beyond the minimum degree requirement may count toward required experience if deemed relevant by the hiring manager. The degree requirement ensures candidates possess the advanced theoretical knowledge, highly specialized methodologies, and critical problem-solving skills fundamental to this work. These competencies are typically developed and rigorously validated only through the comprehensive curriculum and intensive experiential experience inherent in a formal degree program.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years lab experience with animal handling, experience with animal tracking software (e.g. AnyMaze), Excel, and coding (e.g. RStudio or Python) is a plus.
Sponsorship eligibility Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
