Addictions Counselor

Crownsville, MD (Onsite) Employment Type:
Contract – Mon‑Fri, 9:00 am‑5:00 pm, 1 late day & 1 weekend rotation per month Compensation:
$32.00–$40.00 per hour
Description
Provide therapeutic activities and counseling for individuals and groups.
Maintain an advanced understanding of behavioral health programs and client progression in treatment.
Work daytime shifts with occasional late and weekend hours.
Requirements
Minimum certification as an Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
Experience in the Human Services field.
Ability to manage a client caseload in accordance with state regulations.
Proficiency in conducting evaluations and assessments.
Ability to document clinical services accurately.
Willingness to work one evening and one weekend rotation per month.
Valid professional certificates and credentials.
Qualifications
Preferred credentials: CSC‑AD, CAC‑AD, LGADC, LGPC, LCPC, LCADC, or LICSW/LCSW.
Experience in therapeutic settings.
Knowledge of treatment plan development and client progress monitoring.
Ability to moderate group sessions and workshops.
Experience coordinating with community resources.
Ability to assist in discharge planning and follow‑up.
Experience handling urinalysis/drug screening samples.
