Job Summary Greet guests in a courteous, helpful, and prompt manner. Responsible for running the host station, including seating guests, maintaining the floor chart, fairly distributing guests among server sections, maintaining the waitlist, taking reservations and phone orders, bussing and resetting tables, and monitoring table rotation.

Responsibilities

Follow all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and the “General Policies and Procedures” section of the Host Training Manual.

Maintain a positive attendance record by reporting to work for assigned shifts 10 minutes prior to scheduled time, switching and finding replacements for no more than 5% of scheduled shifts, following company time‑off and illness procedures, and having a 0% no‑call/no‑show record.

Follow all sanitation and safety standards set forth by the company; maintain a score of 90% or better on all sanitation and safety audits.

Meet all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the Employee Handbook and Host Training Manual.

Maintain our guest service philosophy by following guest‑service standards; maintain a customer complaint ratio of less than 1 per 100 customers served.

Know all menu items offered at the restaurant; accurately explain specials to guests; answer questions about preparation, ingredients, portion size, and side items; specify substitutions as requested.

Observe table numbering procedures and properly assign sections 100% of the time.

Conduct a first greet with guests within 30 seconds of guests entering the restaurant.

Seat guests within 3 minutes of their scheduled reservation time.

Perform menu merchandising procedures accurately by listing and explaining specials, suggesting items, and upselling when appropriate.

Legibly complete phone‑in or take‑out guest checks and accurately enter orders into the POS system with 100% accuracy.

Picks up orders from Bite Squad, GrubHub and completes take‑out preparation correctly as specified by take‑out procedures.

Perform side‑work duties correctly as specified in the “Side Work Duties” section of the Host Training Manual.

Follow all end‑of‑shift checkout procedures with 100% accuracy as specified in the “End of Shift/Checkout Procedures” section of the Host Training Manual.

Follow the alcohol‑serving procedures in regard to beverage‑service standards, awareness standards, and government regulations with 100% accuracy.

Buss, set, and reset tables following company procedures within 3 minutes of guests leaving their tables.

Maintain a good team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and side work when needed.

Maintain a waitlist when immediate seating is limited and seat guests within 3 minutes of the given wait time.

Communicate reservations for large parties to management and kitchen staff to ensure readiness 100% of the time.

Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.

Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.

Upon seating, offer guests menus and inform them of their server names 100% of the time.

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years old.

Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.

Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.

Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction.

Must be efficient and accurate with money and figures.

Must possess manual ability to manipulate the register system and handle/serve food.

Must have a valid health card or equivalent.
