Regulatory Specialist II – Team Lead

Responsibilities
Serve as Team Lead for assigned professions, monitoring timely completion of all application reports and reporting delays to the Regulatory Supervisor.
Assist in processing applications for all professions within the Medical Therapies/Psychology office as needed.
Respond to general inquiries from the public via telephone, email, and written correspondence, providing status updates and guidance.
Serve as primary contact for respondent monitoring emails for dietetic and nutrition profession, ensuring response within 24 hours.
Act as backup to the RSIII position for preparing Council meeting agendas, minutes, and post‑meeting tasks.
Train new employees and provide ongoing training for process changes.
Analyze and recommend solutions to administrative problems related to application deficiencies.
Assist with administrative duties related to processing supplemental documentation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of Florida Statutes and administrative codes related to licensing and regulation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows‑based computers.
Ability to learn and use job‑specific software such as LEIDS and AxiomPro.
Strong data compilation, organization, and analysis skills.
Consultative assistance and effective communication skills.
Planning, organizing, and coordinating work activities.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years’ experience in data entry, document preparation, legal or regulatory compliance, customer service, or handling sensitive information.
College education can substitute for the experience on a year‑for‑year basis.

This is a fully on‑site position. Employees are required to work from our Tallahassee office five days per week with no regular telework or remote option.
