We’re seeking a detail‑driven
Regulatory Affairs Associate
to support the Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Director in maintaining compliance across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This role plays a critical part in evaluating ingredients, ensuring regulatory conformity, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting product launches. You’ll collaborate with teams across R&D, Quality, Production, Sales & Marketing, and agriculture to ensure regulatory accuracy, clarity, and readiness.
Base pay range $80,000.00/yr – $90,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Track, monitor, and communicate current and emerging regulations affecting food, beverage, and pet food products.
Independently research regulatory requirements across FDA, USDA, and Canadian/Mexican regulatory bodies.
Conduct regulatory assessments for new ingredients and new product launches.
Create, update, and maintain regulatory statements and documentation.
Prepare timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries regarding specifications, allergens, labeling, nutrition, claims, GMO, organic status, and other certifications.
Review and approve finished product specifications, labels, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for compliance.
Support Quality in approving new suppliers.
Advise R&D, QA, Production, Sales, Marketing, and agriculture teams on regulatory requirements.
Provide training to internal teams on regulatory topics and updates.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or a related scientific field is required.
2–3 years of regulatory compliance experience within the food industry.
Strong understanding of ingredient compliance, claims, labeling, and product regulatory pathways.
Solid knowledge of FDA food regulations.
