Location The Marketing Events and Sponsorship position is located at our North American Headquarters in the AT&T (Batman) Building in downtown Nashville, TN. Work Style In‑person, Monday – Friday

Job Purpose Leads the development and execution of event marketing strategies across B2B and B2C channels, including dealer events. This role drives brand visibility, ensures alignment with corporate objectives, and oversees cross‑functional collaboration to deliver impactful, results‑oriented initiatives. Responsibilities include managing local marketing efforts, ambassador and influencer programs linked to B2B and B2C audiences, creating opportunities for collaboration, and analyzing market trends and competitor activities to identify investment opportunities. The position also oversees agency management and explores grassroots marketing strategies to enhance community engagement.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Events Oversight:

Direct the planning and execution of the events calendar, ensuring contractual assets are fully leveraged for maximum brand exposure and stakeholder engagement.

Budget Leadership & Compliance:

Maintain and monitor event budgets; collaborate with marketing operations to ensure timely payment processing and documentation.

Financial Governance:

Secure pre‑approvals for all event‑related services, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational objectives.

Agency Management:

Lead negotiations and manage all direct interactions with external agencies, including overseeing the quoting and contracting process for event services.

On‑Site Event Leadership:

Represent the organization at events, ensuring flawless execution and serving as the primary problem solver for real‑time challenges. This includes proactive internal communication with the sales team, close collaboration with cross‑functional internal teams, and coordination with GHQ to maintain alignment and deliver a seamless event experience.

Performance Reporting:

Develop and deliver event planning reports and post‑event recaps to senior management, highlighting outcomes and actionable insights.

Additional Strategic Duties:

Execute other responsibilities as assigned by leadership to support organizational goals.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple stakeholders (agency, local and global) effectively.

Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word skills

Excellent problem solving & analytical skills

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is required

7‑10 years of marketing experience required, including event management, business strategy and vendor negotiations.

Experience successfully managing projects required

Must be comfortable with traveling 25% ‑ 35% and be willing to work some weekend/evening hours as needed

Experience in automotive or tire industry preferred
