ICIAN Technical Training Consultant
We are seeking an experienced ICIAN Technical Training Consultant who will implement and deliver ICIAN technical and trade-related training programs, including class facilitation, curriculum design, and on-site coaching.
The role requires proficiency in PC use, Microsoft Office, audiovisual equipment, and a strong background in electrical and/or specialty systems contractor field. Knowledge of adult education principles is preferred. Confidentiality is essential.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Completion of an apprenticeship program, related technical training, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree.
Experience: Strong technical background, 5+ years in electrical, specialty systems, or related trade, and 1–2 years facilitator experience.
Travel: Up to 25%.
Work Schedule: Typical hours 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday; flexible hours may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively facilitate ICIAN curriculum and trade-related training classes.
Collaborate with the ICIAN Team to research, pilot, and implement new training programs.
Design and develop technical/trade curriculum based on organizational needs.
Conduct on-site coaching and development of employees.
Build relationships with operational leaders to foster open dialogue.
Support ICIAN Coordinator with program coordination.
Work with subject matter experts to continuously improve content, activities, and delivery.
Expand knowledge of facilitation craft.
Participate in professional and trade-related organizations.
Demonstrate alignment with company culture, professional standards, and model these for trainees.
Show approachability and strong collaboration skills.
