Registered Nurse, ICU
Full Time – Shift: Nights – Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV (Lifepoint Health). Raleigh General is a 300‑bed community hospital that provides acute, rehabilitation, and behavioral health services across 29 states.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a member of our team, your dedication to patient safety and quality outcomes will directly impact community health.
Position Summary Provides direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of the Department.
Essential Functions
Direct care of a diverse patient population, including neonate, infant, early childhood, late childhood, adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and older adult groups.
Access and manage Protected Health Information (demographic, clinical, insurance, financial, complete medical record).
Provide safe and effective care to prevent occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other biological/chemical hazards.
Stand, walk, lift/move patients, and perform repetitive hand/arm movements as required by the job.
Maintain awareness of hazardous medications, latex, and other potential safety risks.
Adhere to Lifepoint Health standards and policies, including patient safety and infection control guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Certification: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and Handle with Care (required).
Ability to perform complex patient assessments and interventions in a critical care environment.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong commitment to lifelong learning and patient advocacy.
